In which the brothers grapple with the first bad episode
The House of the Rising Sun is the first Sun-centric episode and it functions as a table setting episode for things to come. It’s weak, disjointed, unsatisfying, and ultimately leaves you slack-jawed, brain prolapsed as you try to make sense of why something was so shallow and ill-fitting.
The brothers discuss what makes a good episode (vs a bad episode) of LOST, how Sun’s story lacks characterization, and the island shenanigans are far from meaningful to the remainder of the season, let alone the series as a whole.
